Independent minds. Collective craft.

Blue Magic works across commercials, shows, branded stories and new formats, drawing on experience in advertising, documentary, television and scripted entertainment.

We bring the craft of fiction to branded work and a documentary instinct to real stories. We build the right team around each idea, letting the story determine its form.

Sometimes that means a film. Sometimes a series, a short-form documentary or something that doesn’t fit neatly into a category. What matters is finding the most compelling way to tell it.

Founded in Mumbai in 2009 by filmmakers Amardeep Galsin and Amir Rizvi, Blue Magic is built on a simple belief: good stories deserve good company.

Amardeep Galsin

Amardeep Galsin is a writer, director and producer whose work spans television, branded content, unscripted formats and original scripted IP.

She co-founded Blue Magic Films with Amir Rizvi in 2009 and has shaped its creative voice from the start. As a director and creative lead, she has been behind much of the studio’s award-winning work, known for strong ideas, sharp execution and stories that cut through the clutter.

In recent years, Amardeep has moved increasingly into long-form scripted storytelling. She created, wrote and showran Rangeen, the Amazon Prime Video original series released in 2025, and her credits include the docu-series Roar of the Lion for Hotstar. She is currently developing a slate of feature films and premium series. Her stories explore human contradiction, identity and ambition, often finding humour in emotionally complex situations.

As co-founder, she continues to shape Blue Magic’s work, especially projects that demand strong narrative thinking, scale or an original point of view.
